The Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women’s purpose is to educate its members in spirituality and leadership.  It enables and supports them in meeting contemporary challenges so they can better serve the Church and community.

The Council serves as a link between women in the parishes and the Cardinal, Auxiliary Bishops and offices of the Archdiocesan Catholic Center.

Every Catholic woman is a member of ACCW.  There is no formal membership, and there are no dues or fund raising.  Women at the parish level are the focus and foundation of the organization.

The Council takes an active role in learning about and working with issues of importance to the Church and our society.   The breadth of these issues is reflected in the names of ACCW committees, which are listed below:

Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women and Our Lady of Refuge Parish

Women from Our Lady of Refuge are active in ACCW’s Southeastern District of the San Pedro Region.  This region has four meetings each year,  usually in one of the parishes of the Region.  Meetings are on the fourth Thursday of February, May and September.  The November meeting is held on the third Thursday of the month.  Our Lady of Refuge ACCW Coordinator advertises meeting information in the parish bulletin and keeps the parish abreast of the organization’s activities.

If you are interested in participating actively in ACCW meetings, the annual conference or ACCW committee work, contact:
