FOREIGN MISSION OUTREACH
The Annual Christmas Giving Tree Project

Each
Advent, a Christmas tree stands outside the doors of Our Lady of Refuge
Church. (See the photo at right.)
Parishioners
take tags from the tree.
The tags indicate a Christmas gift for child or a gift which the
parishioner can donate.

As
parishioners return their gifts during Advent, the presents are stored in
a warehouse facility donated by members of the parish.
(Note the photo at left.)
The
day before the Ch
ristmas trip to Tijuana, volunteers sort clothes, gifts,
food and other items to be taken to the border.
(See the photo at left.)
The
photo at the right shows the truck which carries gifts to Tijuana.
Once
the truck arrives at its destination, it is unloaded by people from Our
Lady of Refuge and from the local community.
On
the final day of “Wi
nter
Camp”, a pre-Christmas religious education program, gifts are
distributed to the children and families.
