SMALL CHURCH COMMUNITIES

Ever since the early 1960s, Our Lady of Refuge parishioners have been meeting in various types of small faith-sharing groups. The Small Church Communities (SCC) ministry has been active at OLR for over 20 years.

Small Christian Communities provide an excellent opportunity to meet fellow members of the parish family and to grow in faith with one another. We do this by reading and reflecting on the Sunday scriptures; discussing how they relate to our daily lives and relationships; and focusing on ways to be of service to others.

Ninety minute gatherings are offered during Advent and Lent, meeting once a week for 6 weeks, with opportunities to continue throughout the year.
