YOUTH MINISTRIES
As the world celebrated the opening of the
new millennium, Pope John Paul II spoke the following words to young
people who had gathered in Rome to celebrate World Youth Day 2000. Let yourselves be molded by the
Holy Spirit. Spend time in prayer, letting the Spirit speak to your
hearts.. . .. Ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten your minds, ask him for the
gift of a living faith which will
Being molded by the Holy Spirit is an
ongoing process throughout life, but it is of special importance for young
people who are in their formative years.
Growth through the power of the Holy Spirit is centered in the
family and is the most important task of mothers and fathers.
The larger parish
community is present to assist and to help
parents teach children Christian values.
The parish does this
principally through its Educational Ministries and its Youth Ministries.

The ensemble is a group of boys and girls in
Grades 3 through 8 from public and Catholic schools.
It has both singers and instrumentalists, and leads the congregation in singing at Sunday Mass once each
month, and sings for special
occasions throughout the year. Girl Scouts – Troop 286
This is a multi-level Girl Scout troop,
consisting of Brownies (Grades 1-3),
Junior Girl Scouts (Grades 4-6) and Cadet Scouts (Grades 6-8). Participation is open to girls in public and Catholic
schools. Cub Scouts - Pack 267Cub
Scouting is a year-round family program for boys who are in the first
grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age).
Participation is open to boys from both public and Catholic schools.
