Dorothy Chika Akpamgbo is a native of Nigeria and survived the Nigerian Civil War. She holds many graduate degrees and became a Barrister-at-Law, eventually serving as a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She relocated to the United States and earned an MA from California State University Dominguez Hills in Multicultural Education. Her fascinating memoir The Star in Me was followed by a work of fiction, "Meltdown at Nampa Brooks." We are blessed to have her and her family at OLR.
