Welcome to Religious Education at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Long Beach, CA we are excited to journey with your family as we grow in faith. this Friday to restore God’s good creation with a plan for Earth Day 2022!

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles invites the faithful to support ALIVE, a new documentary film about the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Bosco Films and Hakuna from Spain have arranged for a unique opportunity to make a film on the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist available nationwide in the United States. They were able to get one night, on April 25 at 7 p.m., in theaters across the country, with showings in the Archdiocese of LA and Diocese of Orange. This film provides our community of faith a unique opportunity to share with others this moving experience of the transformative power of the Eucharist, while also helping us nourish our own personal connection to the Eucharist in our daily lives.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 13 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Refuge Catholic Church. There will be a vigil on Tuesday evening, April 12 at 7:00 PM .

Our students participated in the Stations of the Cross recently.

Josie and Aiden Henriquez-Gonzales and Isabel Rose Granda were baptized on March 12. We welcome and congratulate them and their families.

Our OLR Confirmation Retreatants are preparing for the April 2 ceremony following the theme, "Go Light your world" and reflected on how they might share their gifts with others.
